My research interests include labor and labor movements, community and urban sociology, and race, class, gender. My current dissertation research is a comparative project of public transit services in New York City and Seoul, looking at the impact of economic crises on labor movements and public transit provision in the two cities. I have also written about garment workers in global supply chains, which has been published in the International Labour Review and as a book chapter, published by the International Labour Organization.

Prior to pursuing a PhD, I worked at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland. I have a MPhil in Innovation, Strategy, Organisations from the University of Cambridge, a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University, and a B.F.A. in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design.
