Congrats to Danielle Schmidt for achieving the RSS Dissertation Research Award!

The RSS Dissertation Research Award is “designed to stimulate research that will help develop the careers of future rural sociologists and support the broader mission of the Rural Sociological Society.” Her dissertation project aims to explore the transition of production agricultural land to conservation reserves across two cases: the Upper Missouri River Breaks in Northeastern Montana and the Driftless Area in the Upper Midwest. Funds from the RSS award will support data collection in the Driftless.

Congrats again for the honor!
