Ian Carrillo won the Joaquim Nabuco Award given annually to one undergraduate and one graduate student who wrote the best essay on Brazil.
Loka Ashwood, along with Noelle Harden, won the International Symposium for Society and Resource Management Doctoral-Level Paper Award for “For the Public Good: Weaving a Multifunctional Landscape in the Corn Belt” and the Agriculture, Human and Food Values Society student paper competition for “Landscape Agroecology: Pathways for Collective and Individual Multifunctionality.”
